Liebe Sammlerfreunde,
auch nach Übernahme durch Erzherzog Ferdinand von Österreich
blieb die Post im Lande Salzburg eigenständig. Auch wurde zum
4. Oktober 1803 u.a. Tittmoning von der Postexpedition zum Post-
amt heraufgestuft.
Aus dieser kurzen Zeit folgender Brief:
Unfrankierter Brief von Geisenfeld (Kurfürstentum Bayern) nach
Tittmoning (Großherzogtum Salzburg) vom 23. August 1804. Der
Empfänger bezahlte 6 Kreuzer C.M. Porto.
Für die Zeit bis zum Jahresende 1806 galt folgendes Briefporto:
Einfachbrief von - und in die österreichischen Staaten 3 Kr.C.M.
Einfachbrief von - und in die Länder des Reiches 6 Kr.C.M.
Erst ab 1.1.1807 wurde das salzburgische Postwesen voll in das
kaiserlich-österreichische Postwesen eingegliedert.
